Healthy Clackamas County
Roadmap to Healthy Communities
We are developing a plan to improve the health of our county and its residents.
We will use opinions and information gathered from the community, along with other data about our county and its residents, to create a plan -- or roadmap -- for the next several years. We're calling this process Roadmap to Healthy Communities.
Improving the health of our county is an important job. Listening to county residents and developing community partnerships are at the center of this effort. Our Roadmap to Healthy Communities proejct gives us the chance to explore new directions and work together to create the healthy Clackamas County that we all want.
The community listening phase of the project was conducted between September 20 and December 31, 2009. During this time, more than 850 county residents responded to our survey, and we held focus groups with 12 community groups. The information from these sources will be integrated with county demographic data to form a draft Health Plan. Our Community Advisors will share the draft Health Plan with their colleagues, clients, and publics for suggestions to help form our final plan, due for completion in June, 2010.
