ASSISTANCE WITH YOUR ENERGY BILL

ENERGY BILL PAYMENT ASSISTANCE:
Energy bill assistance is provided through agreements with many agencies in Clackamas County. The Energy Assistance Program coordinates the distribution of these funds.

LOW INCOME ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (LIEAP):
This federally-funded program opens on December 1 and continues until funds are expended. The program serves low-income seniors, disabled adults, families and individuals who are residents of Clackamas County. Payment is for the heat source including electricity, oil, gas, wood and propane.

OREGON ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM:
This state-funded program operates year-round for low-income Clackamas County residents who are served by Portland General Electric. Clients who are in danger of shutoff and households not previously served have priority for assistance.

GAS ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (GAP):
This program serves customers of Northwest Natural Gas. It opens on December 1 and continues until funds are expended. Low-income seniors, disabled adults, families and individuals who are residents of Clackamas County may apply. For further information please call the Energy Assistance Line: 503-650-5640
